  1. Subtitles for each Movie/Show page.

    • Add subtitles created by SIMKL users and certainly verify them.

    or even better,

    • Import Subtitles from a popular website like VLCsub does. And put each related subtitle file inside the right Show/Movie.

  3. Send alerts when a tv show or movie is available on one of your streaming services like Reelgood.

A feature I've been wanting for a while is to get an alert when a movie or tv show is available on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. Reelgood does a great job at this, providing email, text, & push notifications. I would also love to be able to filter searches by what is available on my services and filtering out shows I've already seen. If Simkl had these features, it would completely replace Reelgood and Rotten Tomatoes for me.

What I am looking for in the perfect movie/tv tracking service in order of priority is:
    1. search…

  4. Add a custom field to every show

Add a custom field to every show that I can use to for example enter the URL of where I'm watching the show. The field would be entered by show but would appear in every episode to make it just one click away. If it's multiple lines, even better.

  6. Add movies and comments look like on dtf (BEST I SAW EVER)

Add movies. I mean not only tv show. According to comments add them like dtf.ru did

    https://dtf.ru/cinema

you can see comments on right column. Creates feeling of live conversation. A few time I read interesting comment or something and was involved to conversation without any plans to do that

  8. Indie Movies, better suggestions based on likes

99% of the movies suggested are what I would call "hollywood schlock" ie action, horror, cliche'd comedies and stuff targeted at teenagers. This is really disappointing because I was looking for a Trakt replacement as their movies also show the same sort of (IMO) rubbish.

Despite rating a bunch of movies I like very much, the movies presented to me are almost all movies I have no interest in seeing.

  10. Optimizing Streaming Subscriptions: Tailoring Your Choices to Your Watchlist

Notifying which streaming service to subscribe to (Netflix, Disney, etc) based on watchlist planning.

For - streaming membership expense management.

    More Context
Rather than relying on the abundance of streaming apps available, consider a different approach. How about a service that advises users on which streaming platforms to subscribe to and which to cancel based on their watchlist? For instance, it could recommend subscribing to Netflix this month because two shows with all episodes released are available, and then suggest canceling other subscriptions next month if the desired shows aren't on those platforms or haven't completed their season. The goal…

  11. Label split cour anime seasons in primary title

Currently when viewing my anime list on Simkl, it's impossible at a glance to tell what is what when a season is split up into multiple parts.

I've attached example screenshots below, first of Simkl and then of the same entries on MAL. On Simkl, it's impossible to tell which entry is which part without clicking onto the entry and reading the subtitle.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Stone Ocean appears to have the parts in the label, but nothing else seems to.
