Add a custom field to every show
Add a custom field to every show that I can use to for example enter the URL of where I'm watching the show. The field would be entered by show but would appear in every episode to make it just one click away. If it's multiple lines, even better.

Delay new shows appearence by a day or account for timezones
Be able to introduce a delay before seeing new available shows. I live in germany and new shows appear when it's midnight in the US but they will only be aired about 10 hours later. So either take my timezone into account or to make it easy, a checkbox with a +1 day delay would be fine.

When I search for "the magicians", when I type "the magic" I should see this result before "care bears: unlock the magic". Results should also be sorted by rank and also titles I watch should come befrore everything else.4 votesThere is currently a bug in the search that does not sort relevant results first. We’re looking into it, something to do with collecting search stats incorrectly.
Searching for “the mag” should display “The magicians” at the top when it’s working correctly.

Every time I see a poster, I should have the "add to watchlist 3 choice button"
The add to watchlist button should be EVERYWHERE always offering the three choices (plan to, seen this, not interested). Offen I heard about the show and want to be able to add it right from the cover. Everywhere I see cover this need to be there because that pretty much the whole point of such a web site. So basically, whenever I see a poster, this 3 choice button should be there.

Automatically move shows to On Hold after missing x episodes.
Automatically move TV shows under "Watching" to "On hold" after missing 3-5 episodes.
I have a number of shows that are backup (oh duck I've got nothing else to watch), that are generally not interesting enough to warrant having on the calendar, but still "good enough" if there's nothing else.6 votes -

I love this site!
Something I'd like to see though is a way to search for movies. Also pages of movies instead of the page just loading more every scroll down, with every newly added batch I find it lags more and more to the point where I can't keep going and have to refresh the page and start over with a new category.

Multiple types of list view
Would be nice to have options to choose how to view a list: 1. Default view with the standard large image thumbnail, 2. A small image thumbnail and title, 3. No image thumbnail at all only the title text.

i hate the fact that when i add something i watched years ago, it classes it as watched recently. would be nice if we can simply add movies and tv shows without that happening

Show the duration of the episodes of a series or anime
On the info of a tvshow/anime it show you how much it takes to see all the episodes of the tvshow/anime (for example: 5 hours)
Would be good if it show too, the duration of the episodes (for example, all the episodes last 25minutes usually)
and would be good too have the duration of the episode on the episode list
And if it is a tvshow that have different duration for episodes, show an aproximation.

Send alerts when a tv show or movie is available on one of your streaming services like Reelgood.
A feature I've been wanting for a while is to get an alert when a movie or tv show is available on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. Reelgood does a great job at this, providing email, text, & push notifications. I would also love to be able to filter searches by what is available on my services and filtering out shows I've already seen. If Simkl had these features, it would completely replace Reelgood and Rotten Tomatoes for me.
What I am looking for in the perfect movie/tv tracking service in order of priority is:

Half star ratings. Being able to vote 8.5* instead of 8* or 9* would be really nice for more fine tuned ratings.

Different Rating Scales
The ability to switch to rating scales other than integers from 1-10 would be useful. I prefer a 0.x-10.0 scale (or 1-100 or whatever) for more fine tuned rankings.
