How can we improve Simkl?

  2. ctrl- click something

    Please. It would be more comfortable if when I ctrl- click some title... that movie appears in another tab and not in the one that I am already in. Because I usually like to navigate more before looking at the information of 2 or 5 movies that got my attention. Thank you!

  3. When you select on a tvshow/anime "complete" it mark automatically al the episodes as seen

    Because now you select "complete" and it do not mark no episode as seen

  4. Crowdfund Support

    I noticed you tried this and cancelled it yourself even though there were 74 backers. I think this was a mistake.

    I see you are offering VIP membership on Use Kickstarter to fund development - http://simkl.com/#pledge

    Perhaps you can add merchandise too courtesy of sites like Cafepress or t-shirts via Tee Cash, unless it is worth getting them produced and shipped yourself.

    I will probably pledge something, but I have no money just yet.

    the show is missing from the search and the site, but is found on TVDB

  7. Add app for better management!

    Add support to players or some app which is integrated into explorer so i could right click movie/serie and select i have watched this or something like that. Doing these things manually is too demanding.

    Simkl has Chrome extension AND Windows app for video players like What is Simkl TV Tracker app?

    At the moment, our Windows app has the ability to demonstrate how the application is already capable of detecting almost any TV show and Anime that can be downloaded from the internet and played through most popular video players.

    You can download the beta version from https://simkl.com/apps/
    With the help of the Simkl TV Tracker app you can detect most TV or Anime episodes downloaded from the internet or downloaded through iTunes.

    Instructions: Install Simkl TV Tracker, open any TV episode video file. In 7–15 seconds (it may take longer times for detecting rare Anime) you will see a small popup at the bottom right corner with the name of the TV show and it’s episode number that you’re watching.
    PS: Beta version is for demonstration purposes only, for Windows 7\8\10…

  8. SMS Notifications

    Have reminders sent to me via SMS or an app to let me know just before episodes air. And/or a Chrome extension.

  10. Missing shows in My Calendar and Today Pages

    Hello,
    I have joined recently and it looks like among similar type of web sites Simkl is the best suited to my taste.
    I don't know if it is better to open a new post or continue from the previous completed bug. I chose to open a new post, I hope it is OK. I have some shows missing from Today and My calendar pages. Mostly new shows.

    Dr. Ken is missing from My Calendar
    The Simpsons, Crossing Lines is missing from Today Page
    New shows The Last Kingdom,Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is missing in Today Page.

  12. Sort by time to watch

    When I'm choosing the next show/movie to watch, I usually go by what genre I want and then by how long it wold take to watch. I remember the genre of shows by their name, but I never know how long it would take to watch them. I can open up a new tab for the show to find out, but if I could sort by time to watch (like we can with name, rank, etc) that would be really nice. It doesn't need to be exact, the guesstimate that's shown on show pages would be plenty.

  13. Some series do not show up in "My List"

    Some series like Family guy do not show up in "My list" even though I have not seen the episode.

    They show up in "airing next" but then disappears.

  15. Pure is missing haven't seen ransom and a few others who checks the data

    Pure a medenight however it's spelling mob drug tv show very very good look it up only 4 episodes or so so far

    Ransom other shows a calendar no dates just sun through sat every show every channel would be so much easier to find and mark our favorite shows and big print

    Currently, Simkl does not have options to watch all TV Shows, Anime or Movies. However, Simkl provides links for Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll where you can watch the TV shows and Anime.

For people who are geeky enough to want a hi-tech automated Watchlist solution no matter how you watch – download video files on your computer or watch streaming video online, on Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, etc…

  17. "Specials" considered as normal episodes

    For example in Downton Abbey, all season finales are called "Special", but they are actually just normal episodes. When I want to mark those as watched, they don't appear on my dashbord and I have to go to the "Specials" section to mark them. But very often this section changes its order and e.g. Special 5 becomes Special 8 or something like that.
    At least for Downton Abbey, changing those Specials to normal episodes would be great, so they don't get mixed up with Behind the Scenes episodes or so!
