How can we improve Simkl?

  3. Leverage AI for Greater Ease-of-Use

    Greater ease-of-use and implementation of AI to make finding videos (watched and to watch) updating viewing progress and profile completion less time-consuming for the user. This would also allow for improved suggestion of content to users.

  4. Fast desktop login via Barcode (App)

    Login via the app and Barcode.

    I'm often at my girlfriends place and logon to simkl on her pc so would be great if there is a easy way to login. Also it would encourage People to use the app on smartphones even more.

  7. Default filters for Movies > My List

    Default "Country" and "Released" filters to "All" under Movies > My List, was hard to notice them and had issues finding out where the movies I just added to the list went (confusion).

  8. Android navigation improvements

    In the Android app, swiping left/right should navigate between the tabs (seen/aired/next for shows, year/dvd/n for movies).
    Would also be nice if swiping back on movie/show details to go back.

    1. Link to Directors and Actors when we click on their names. So that we can view all the shows/movies they have worked on.
    2. If possible a facility to create Lists (Eg. List of Dystopian movies I like etc.)

  13. Fix rating bug

    This is a pretty small bug but it would be nice if you guys could fix it. If ever I accidentally press the wrong number when rating something on its page, I can't just click on the rating again to change it. I have to either reload the page or click the Add To Watchlist button to be able to change it.

  14. More Platforms, including MoviePass

    Include more movie/tv Platforms to connect to. Netflix/hulu/amazon are great. However, having it connect to theater accounts or, in my opinion the best idea, connect to moviepass. Connecting to moviepass would be perfect as it already tracks which movie you went to go see. Your platform would allow me to rate that movie right after seeing it.

  15. Deep Linking to apps and devices

    Deep Linking with other apps like HBO go etc possibly DVRs like Media center (I still use a cable card tuner with Xbox 360s as Extenders to watch and record TV Ceton "The manufacturer of my tuner (now defunct) made a app that tracks my viewing. Also TiVo linking might help those willing to pay for the guide! Something I get free with media center! I am beta testing a device soon to hit the market (sorry I can't revel what it is due to a NDA) this device deep links with my DVR and Roku apps to track usage…

  16. Fuse Tviso and Simkl webs, Togheter could make a better web for traking movies and tvshows

    Fuse Simkl and Tviso would be great, because both are a web page for traking movies and tvshows, both have cool features that the other do not have and both are on beta. If both fused, and having all the users that both have on one web, and all the cool features that each one can contribute to the other web, the web result of that fuse would be great!.

    Lke simkl have traking app for windows and extension for chrome, have notifications, have an a very good android app

    And tviso have tags, good organization of movies and tv…

  17. The chrome extension or the windows app, could analize text of the web like tvshowtime do

    So then if you play a video and the extension see the name "game of thrones s02 e7" it would mark that episode as seen (maybe waiting that the user be 20 minutes on the web, stoping to count when the user leave the page and starting again when it come back)

  19. show the name of the movie/tvshow/anime on the lenguage of the location of the user

    Sometimes it is hard to find a movie, tvshow or anime, because you do not know in what lenguage it's the name on Simkl.

    Would be great that by the "location" option on the profile settings, the web show the names the movie, tvshow or anime have on that location.

    IMDB, show on the info of a movie,tvshow or anime, the different names it have for some locations. Maybe Simkl could take the names and locations by there.
